Today’s post is from Cynthia at Harrington Library:
Moonstruck (1987) directed by Norman Jewison
Moonstruck is a modern Cinderella story. Cher is wonderful as Loretta Castorini, a dour widow who is unlucky in love. Loretta has agreed to marry Johnny Cammerari (Danny Aeillo) a decent man whom she does not love. However, when Loretta meets Ronny (Nicholas Cage) Johnny’s brother, Loretta is swept off her feet. Loretta’s dilemma and her passionate and vocal family give full play to the messiness of love and family relationships. Moonstruck is a romantic comedy to savor again.
