Today’s post is from Cynthia at Harrington Library:
Young Frankenstein (1974) directed by Mel Brooks
Kick back and enjoy Mel Brooks’ upoarious homage to the Frankenstein movies. Great one liners and a musical score that matches the story of science gone very wrong. The sequence of the mad doctor (Gene Wilder) and the monster (Peter Boyle) tap dancing to “Puttin’ on the Ritz” is a comic gem. Filmed in black and white. Many of the props and the laboratory sets were from the original Frankenstein (1931) movie.
